[Surgical strategy for iatrogenic injuries of the spleen].

A retrospective investigation of 1226 case histories of patients operated on the stomach and duodenum was made. Organ-saving operations using laser technique were assessed. The main cause of injuries to the spleen during operation was traction of the stomach when mobilizing it. The performance of organ-saving operations for such injuries using laser technique is possible in 76% of cases.

[The electrophysiologycal and information aspects of stress development].

In the first part of this paper the modern concepts of stress and possibility of diagnostics of early stress manifestations are considered. Though significant advances of researches of this problem many methodological and methodical aspects are continued to be discussed. The categorical proff are stage development of adaptation processes and there classification [H. Selye]. A long-term studies of adaptation processes of students in semesters and exams have been conducted by authors with specially development and to accumulate new data. The second part of this paper is the survey of these results published in different time. The polyparametric technology including some electrophysiological methods with the system analysis using artificial intelligence algorithms and methods of pattern recognition permitted to show some regular dependences in relationships of electrophysiological parameters and there variations under stress development. It was shown for diagnostics of stress stages in necessary to assess not only absolute values of parameters but also there relationships, which are new diagnostics signs considering as information connections between physiological systems. The main characteristic of functional state of an organism is balance of parameter's relationships in totality, representing invariant for healthy persons. In condition of disharmony of parameter relationships there are aroused the strain, overstrain functional state or failure of adaptation in depends on a degree of misbalance. The represented new data don't contradict to known reasons and mechanisms of stress and accumulated data of its variety manifestations. As the work-hypothesis the information-wave model of appearance of psychosomatic reactions of stress is introduced.

[A method of extracorporeal perfusion of the sections of xenogeneic spleen]. / Metodika ékstrakorpora'lnoi perfuzii srezov ksenogennoi selezenki.

A method of extracorporeal perfusion of sections of the swine spleen developed by the authors is described. Perfusion of the swine spleen sections was performed in the small volume perfusion chamber (100 cm3) with a 80-100 ml/min rate for 30-60 min with the help of a roller pump. The extracorporeal contour was connected with the major veins of the patient. An experience with the treatment of 23 patients with pyo-septic diseases with the use of extracorporeal perfusion of the swine spleen sections shows the efficiency, simplicity and safety of the proposed method.

[Changes in the natural killer activity of lymphocytes in peripheral blood of patients with purulent-septic diseases under the effect of extracorporeal perfusion of pig spleen sections]. / Izmenenie estestvennoi killernoi aktivnosti limfotsitov perifericheskoi krovi u bol'nykh s gnoino-septicheskimi zabolevaniiami pod vliianiem ékstrakorporal'noi perfuzii srezov selezenki svin'i.

23 patients with pyo-septic diseases resistant to conservative therapy were treated by extracorporeal perfusion of xenospleen (EPXS). In 17 patients on EPXS a persistent detoxicating effect was achieved. 6 patients died. EPXS procedure was accompanied by a drop in medium-molecular lipid blood level and normalization of natural killer activity that was decreased considerably prior to EPXS. It is concluded that EPXS has a normalizing effect on the natural killer activity, which may be essential for resistance to infectious complications.
